A couple from Wisconsin, on Thursday, died after a lighting strike in Layafette Park, near the White House leaving two others injured.
According to Fox News, a spokesperson from the DC Metro Police said, ‘We are saddened by the tragic loss of life after the lightning strike in Lafayette Park’.
Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House secretary said, ‘Our hearts are with the families who lost loved ones, and we are praying for those still fighting for their lives.’
The injured victims from the lightning strike are still in critical condition and their identities yet to be revealed.
